Advantages of painting using computer.

Advantages of making painting by using a computer freeware.

1.     Any kind of pictures can be inserted and combined

Open Office software consists of many kids of clip arts and other pictures, which can be inserted at any place in any orientation and size. This can be altered at any time. For each picture, the parameters like brightness, contrast and so on can be controlled. Most of the pictures

2. Many small images can be easily copy pasted number of times to get a pattern.

Such patterns are very easy to create and even the sizes can be altered for a row of pots so that a perspective effect is easily seen.

3. Complete colour control is possible

Observe each pot. The colours are different because, it is varied. First one is the original.

4. No question of erasing problems on canvas, as we can correct it any number of times

As it is computer, any number of times we can alter any image, which cannot be done easily in painting. In some cases, in regular painting, we may have to discard the canvas and start painting if the mistake is big or irreparable.

5. Varying Shades and transparency are extremely simple

Observe the two pictures. The left one makes us to feel that the pen is behind the dust bin, but in the right side picture, Transparency of the dust bin is increased, so that it is giving a feeling that the pen is inside the dust bin. Such an effect is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get in regular painting.

6. Size and orientation of any object can be altered.

The above pictures will illustrate the ease of use of pictures in different sizes and orientations. Observer the hand bag of the person in the third picture.  It is flipped horizontally. Similarly the shelf.

7. Pictures can be grouped or ungrouped easily

When grouped, all the pictures in the group move together. It is a very good advantage.

8.  3D drawings are very simple to generate.

9.  Perspective view and its degree can be controlled very easily.

10.                 Any stylish text can be typed along with painting.

11.                 Shade gradation controlling is possible

12.                 Almost unlimited colors are available

Shades available in normal colour system in the computer are 256 colours but with combinations and RGB ratio variations, we can get almost unlimited colours.

13.                 Images may or may not be printed and hence almost no cost

Most of the computer paintings can be stored as soft copy only. Only when someone asks for it, we can print it. So, virtually no cost.

14.                 Final best image may be printed on ANY size of paper

If we start painting on a canvas of a4 size and then decide to increase the size of the painting, we cannot alter it. We can only start in a new big canvas. But in computer painting, we can take print on any size and any number of copies!

15.                 Laser printing will make it automatically water proof

In regular painting, unless we use oil colours, painting will not be water proof. It has to be protected by doing lamination. But in computer painting, we can take a laser print, which is water proof.

16.                 Real photos can be embedded or combined.

Instead of using clip arts, we can use our own photo embedded in painting.  We can also use a combination of the two.

17.                 No question of paint allergy  or bad smell.

Since computer requires no real paint, no question of painting allergy of dirty spill over of paint.

18.                 No wastage of paint due to drying

Paint will normally get dry when exposed to air for longer duration and hence wasted. But computer painting cannot be like that.

I have explained all the methods of painting using computer. It is with detailed expalnations with complete illustrations.  Hve a look at my book at Amazon.
